THE LEGAL ROLE AND FUNCTION OF STATE COURTS IN ARBITRATION PROCEEDINGS
Tirana, 27 October 2016 at 09:00 am
Venue: Sky Tower Hotel, “Ibrahim Rugova” Str, Tirana, Albania
Event description
This forum focused on the sometimes “colourful” intervention of courts in arbitral proceedings both in international and domestic arbitration. Experts in the field from Albania, Belgium, Italy and Germany shared their insights on issues like the duality ‘’court-arbitrator’’ related to jurisdiction, validity and non-performance of arbitration agreements, appointment and challenge of arbitrators, security for costs, interim measures, enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards etc.
The ICC YAF Conference was an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration, and to enrich their network in the region.
